Joe Todd-Stanton a grandi à Brighton et a étudié à Bristol où il a obtenu un diplôme de premier cycle en illustration. À sa sortie, Joe a travaillé pour des clients tels que Oxford University Press, Usborne Publishing et Aquila Magazine.
La famille Vieillepierre est sa première création en BD.
